     Small private online course (SPOC) 

 

Starting on Monday 5, June, ending on Thursday 13 July 2023
 

                     

To follow this course, participants will be expected to dedicate some 5 to 6 hours a week to studying.   Participants should be able to arrange most of the work to be done during the week in their own schedule, as it will consist of : 

  • pre-recorded videos explaining the theory and giving examples,  

  • Self directed readings,  

  • quizzes,  

  • short writings, 

  • participation in the moderated group forum, 

  • As well as some group work, in small groups of 3 to 5 participants 

This will be completed by regular (once or twice a week) 1 hour Zoom sessions for live answers to questions or discussions on topics of particular interest.  These Zoom sessions will be held on Mondays or Fridays from 15.00 to 16.30 Bangkok time.  

 The final week will be dedicated to the case study, to be done in groups and which will involve at least 1 interview with actors involved with GIs in Europe.  The case study may necessitate a little more than 6 hours work.

Metodología

La formación, con una duración de 5 semanas, se impartirá a través de una plataforma virtual (Moodle) y consistirá en:
*vídeos pregrabados explicando la teoría y dando ejemplos,
*lecturas autodirigidas
*cuestionarios
*ejercicios de grupo
 
Esto se complementará con debates en el foro y sesiones de Zoom (videoconferencias) con los formadores una o dos veces por semana. La última semana se dedicará a un estudio de caso, durante el cual los estudiantes podrán profundizar en una IG existente (de Europa o América Latina) y entrevistar a los miembros de la organización de gestión de la IG.
